Woohoo! All kinds of challenges today!

Good morning and happy Saturday to all of my wonderful blogging buddies! Well, for those of you who know, we got a new kitty last weekend and so far so good, slow progress but we are getting there. Also, my dad has now gone to hospice but it has taken a load off of my parents minds so although sad it is also a good thing. I appreciate all the well wishes you guys have sent to me, blogging buddies are the best!

Ok, this weeks challenge at Kraftin Kimmies is brought to us by the amazing Krista and she would like to see flowers on your card. Now wait! We are also having some fun over on facebook starting at 10am est and each hour thru the day so you can combine this challenge with some others for another chance to win. PLUS! Kimmie is also giving out tickets with any purchase of $40 or more at the store this weekend and next week she will be drawing some lucky winning numbers to get tickets from the new release!

Okay, here is my card for today. I have used one of the new fairies and her name is Ivy

Papers are an older set by Basic Grey, flowers are WOC and a misc rose and there is a little wooden mushroom in there too that I painted with some Viva Decor paints. And do you see that  elegant butterfly? That is a gift from my buddy Elaine and I toned down the gold with a copic marker a bit to make it fit in with the nature theme a bit more and I have added a rhinestone on top of it also. Okay, make sure you check in over at facebook in a bit and play along with us for LOTS of chances to win! And last but not least, did you know Kimmie is now selling paper pads in the store for her Canadian customers? Uh huh, thats right!

Amanda,
this card is awesome! I love the rich colors that you have used. It really is a gorgeous card. I am happy to read that your new baby is settling in. It does take time doesn't it? Well worth it though. :O) I am sorry to read about your Dad and I am glad that hospice is helping however. Never fun, but they do tend to take some of the stress out of the the picture. I hope that you and Joe are both doing well all things concidered. I have a few minutes this morning and my hands aren't too bad so I wanted to come over and say "Hi". Take care my friend and have a wonderful Sunday. Hugs, Lisa

What a gorgeous creation Amanda. The image is stunning - love the orange highlights. Sorry to hear about your dad, but as you said he's in the right place, and it will help those close to him, to better cope at this time. Thinking of you Amanda.

Hi Amanda!
Sorry to hear that things haven't gotten much better with your dad. But it is good that he's getting some specialized care now - that does really help everyone. Hope he is as comfortable as he can be away from home (I know that's always hard for them); but it is for the best.
Hopefully your new kitty is helping you to de-stress yourself a little bit ;-)! I've been through that adjustment period with more critters than I can count and I know it definitely takes a little while! But eventually everyone gets used to each other and the daily routines and before you know it; it's like they have always been there! (I've got our newest one - from last summer - curled up in a furry little ball right next to me. We always say she got the "Golden Ticket" when she got ahem, "dropped off" on our property LOL!)

Anyway, love your card! What a crazy fun stamp - love that hair he he! And such lovely soft colors with just a pop of bright orange. Very fun!

Sending you cyberhugs again. I'm sure it was a difficult decision, but he's likely getting the best care possible at this time.

Your card is gorgeous. I really love how you colored the image. The color scheme is striking and I love the details and shading you've added to her skirt.

As always your design and embellishments are wonderful.
