Well, this is my first ever submission to a challenge and it is for my favorite site, stamping bella. This weeks challenge is to make a christmas card and Emily just got in some new Mo Manning images. Had this one in digi form but she had it in rubber at the store. I have used Merrymint paper by American Crafts, copics and a silk ribbon I had in my stash. I tried to put polar white flower soft on the hat brim and the ball but ended up HATING the look so then I carefully scraped it all off (that's what fingernails are for right?) and put some white glitter on instead. Like it better but can see where I need to take a paintbrush and clean it up some more. Oh well, a little glitter around the home never hurt anyone! Ok, gonna try to email this to Emily, wish me luck!

Teacup girl

Okay, here is the other card I made up today. It is one of the teacup girls from stamping bella on Happy Days cardstock by SEI. The striped paper is glittery on the green stripes. I colored it with my copics and added some shadowing with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. My inspiration is Linda Heavens, one of the DT members for stamping bella. Had never tried copics and prismacolor until I came across her blog and it really does add a great depth to the image. Tried sewing for the first time but think I need to put on a different foot as this one didn't allow me to stitch very close to the edge of the cardstock. The bling is done with my new imaginesce i rock tool and gems. They seem to be stuck on there pretty darn good!

I will let you in on my goof up for the day. Always fun to read about someone else's mistakes. My friend Renee (hey Renee!) called me last week and asked if I wanted to come to a jewelry party. Love jewelry, not a problem. She said it will be on Wednesday. Okee dokee. So I put on the makeup and the "nice" clothes and head on over. Lo and behold, she meant Wednesday of next week! At least she lives close by so now I am home and might try to do a card for the stamping bella challenge on Friday. Have never entered a challenge so we will see if I have the nerve to do it. Gotta start somewhere, right?

Ok, still fiddling with the camera, lighting etc. This still looks blurry to me so back to the drawing board! I used lulu's present from stampingbella for the image, a martha stewart daisy punch and the bottom green paper has a nice shimmer to it which of course I could not capture in this picture. This is for my supervisor at work, have to stay in her good graces Ha Ha!! Ok, heading over to stamping bella to see if they have put up the new stuff for today yet. Stay cool in this heat wave!

Okay, so this is a card I made for a friend who is in rehab at the moment. (Hey Joan!) She will get a hoot out of this card! Sorry the coloring isn't any better as I am just learning how to upload, post etc. The image is a digi download from www.imag-e-nation.com. I LOVE their images, they are so hysterical! I think I will put "All dressed up and no where to go" on the inside as she is kind of stuck where she is at for awhile. Whaddya think?

This is a card I made for a friend for her birthday. I used paper from the DCWV sweets stack and some liquid pearls to simulate the frosting on the cupcake. It is mounted on kraft cardstock. Thanks for looking!
